Dr. Noorul Hasan ., MBBS., MD in Psychiatry (NIMHANS)
Dr. Noorul Hasan completed his M.B.B.S at Government Medical College of Thoothukudi.His passion for learning neurosciences paved the path for his entrance into National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), an institute of national importance (INI). He completed his M.D in Psychiatry from NIMHANS with splendid record in Academics and hands on training in behavioural sciences and psychotherapy. Beyond his M.D, he has contributed briefly for the department of Community Mental Health in the same institute during the post COVID phase in 2020. He is currently the Additional consultant at SNEKA MIND CARE CENTRE and a visiting consultant at NiMS hospital, Tirunelveli. Also he is the consultant & clinical in charge of Manitham foundation at melapalayam, Tirunelveli.

- Authored a chapter on Severe Mental Illness in “COMMUNITY PSYCHIATRY DURING PANDEMICS” (ISBN : 978-81-948111-4-5)
- Authored a chapter on Civil Responsibility in “FORENSIC PSYCHIATRY IN INDIA” (ISBN : 978-81-951544-6-3).
- Author and an external expert for compilation of Ayushman Bharat Manual on “Comprehensive Primary Mental Health Care” for Medical officers, which got recently released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
- A Pragmatic research on “Naturalistic outcomes of Glutaminergic Augmentation in (obsessive compulsive disorder) OCD” & “Prescription patterns and course of illness in patients with OCD comorbid with Bipolar disorder” are at the verge of publication.
- Presented two posters in the recent SILVER JUBILEE OCD CONFERENCE, 2022 held at NIMHANS, Bengaluru.
- an author welcomed for his writings in Tamil and English magazines. His writing titled “Sleep - Dangerous Transition and Vulnerable Life” got released in the IPSOCON magazine (2021).

Depression
Depression is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. Also called major depressive disorder or clinical depression.
Schizophrenia
The exact cause of schizophrenia isn't known, but a combination of genetics, environment and altered brain chemistry and structure may play a role.
Bipolar disorder
Depressive episodes may include symptoms such as low energy, low motivation and loss of interest in daily activities.
Obsessive compulsive disorder
Obsessive-compulsive disorder is characterised by unreasonable thoughts and fears (obsessions) that lead to compulsive behaviours.
Childhood disorders
Mental disorders among children are described as serious changes in the way children typically learn, behave, or handle their emotions, which cause distress and problems getting through the day.
Addictive disorders
Addictive disorders, such as substance abuse and dependence, are common disorders that involve the overuse of alcohol and/or drugs. Addiction develops over time and is a chronic and relapsing illness.
